The receiver works through glass, Perspex or plastic so can be placed inside the cabin close to a window or hatch. With its thin cable and waterproof casing, it can often be put outside with the cable being pinched in the rubbers of a hatch. Even with a restricted view of the sky, this high performance waterproof GPS continues to report accurate positional data.
