For boats with not enough space (or budget!) to fit the FLS Silver or Gold our new FLS Bronze is the perfect solution. Housed in a 110 mm square case, the marine industry standard size, the Bronze will fit neatly into any existing line up of instruments. Forward looking technology in a space no larger than an old fashioned digital sounder. The maximum forward range is 100 metres (or the equivalent in feet) and the ranges are 20m, 60m and 100m for the optimum view in different situations. The boat icon is set at 8m to give a convenient reference point when judging forward distances. The alarm settings are 2m or 4m and selection "alarms" the appropriate section of the screen right up to the maximum 100m forward range.
The EchoPilot Silver III is a full function Forward Looking Sonar and is designed for the skipper who wants performance without complication. Many thousands of man hours have been spent testing at sea testing and developing sonar and almost as much time listening to customers needs at shows or on the phone. One of the results of the R & D is the EchoPilot Silver III.
Our EchoPilot FLS Gold II is a result of many years development. We have listened to existing customers ideas on how to make Forward Sonar more useful and easier to use. The display may be switched to show GPS data (from almost any GPS), including all Waypoint information, forward sonar display or a combination of them both.
The EchoPilot FLS Platinum offers all the best features of the EchoPilot forward sonar range, now displayed on a full colour, wide screen 1/4 VGA display. The colour screen LCD was chosen after a summer of trials and offers the best contrast and viewability of all that we tried. The benefits of colour, apart from being visually more pleasing, include being able to gain much more information about the nature of the sea bed. Stronger echoes give different colours. Different fields or types of information are shown in contrasting colours, enabling the navigator to assimilate information much faster.
Following the trend to integrated displays EchoPilot have developed a black box colour forward sonar communicating via a video signal with other manufacturer's displays. Available in 2 versions, either a video interface box can connect an FLS Platinum to any other display with a composite or S-video input (such as the Raymarine E series plotters, Garmin 30, certain Furuno, Simrad and Navman screens). Alternatively we can provide a complete black box solution comprising of transducer, skin fitting, cables, electronics box and control keypad (no display). Benefits to the boat owner include saving of both cost and space.
