Designed for open ocean navigation. This Group-A model is suitable for operating temperature -15 C degrees, through to +65 C degrees and is therefore ideal for European Yachtsmen. The EV ISO 9650 Liferaft is also accepted by the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) for use on charter yachts and Code of Practice Vessels as long as an appropriate SOLAS-B Grab Bag is also carried. The structure is the result of proven design experience with wide entrances facilitating easy access from the water. Unlike most budget liferaft models the EV ISO 9650 Liferaft has entrance flaps on both sides of the liferaft together with a combined external and an internal boarding ladder that makes boarding the liferaft much easier. An insulated floor ensures thermal protection and the new high capacity ballast bags ensure that the liferaft has a much higher stability compared to other budget models. To make location easier these liferafts are equipped with retro-reflective tapes on the canopy and an internal lighting system is also fitted as standard. The self erecting canopy includes a rainwater collection system and an extensive emergency equipment pack.
The NEW Ocean ISO Liferaft is lightweight, compact and of superior design and construction. Meets MCA codes of practice, Class XII and ISAF offshore special regulations. "ISAF" Liferaft Regulation (Appendix A Part 2) has replaced the "ORC" (Appendix A Part 1) specification This ISAF liferaft can be used under current Codes of Practice and is a requirement under the Class XII legislation, which affects all UK registered vessels over 13.7m (45ft). Design enhancements include larger water pockets for increased stability, a highly visible orange floor for identification and a new upgraded emergency pack. The boarding system has also been developed to improve entry from the water. The emergency pack has undergone stowage enhancements, making it easier to access essential equipment once in the raft.
